Mrs. Mercy Afriyie Kamason is a devoted Christian, focused, compassionate, and highly strategic individual who embodies loyalty, courage, reliability, analytical thinking, consistency, and a results-oriented mindset. As a positive and dedicated Food Scientist and Technologist, she brings over 17 years of experience in the food industry. Throughout her career, she has contributed to various notable organizations, including Ghana Water Company Limited, Cocoa Processing Company Ghana Limited, PAPSO Ghana Limited, 37 Military Hospital, Aicher Daniels Midland (ADM) Company Ghana Limited, Olam Cocoa Ghana Limited, and currently, Olam Food Ingredients.

Expressing gratitude, Mrs. Kamason acknowledges the remarkable efforts of the immediate past executives in establishing the Ghana Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (GhAFoST). She extends her appreciation to all members for entrusting her with the role of Vice President. In her new position, she is committed to collaborating closely with Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, the elected President of GhAFoST, along with other executives and members, to ensure the smooth operation of GhAFoST and to advance food science, technology, and innovation for national development.
