Profile of Dr. Jemima Owusuah Asante (Presenter for the upcoming GhAFoST Bimonthly Webinar Series)

Dr Jemima Owusuah Asante is a Food Scientist and currently a Part-time Lecturer at the Department of Food Science and Postharvest Technology, Cape Coast Technical University. She is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jemnest Enterprise which organizes periodic health talks and health checks for her community and also produces and sells Gem herbal tea and spice.

Jemima holds PhD, MPhil. and BSc. Degree in Food Science and Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. Her current research is on the characterization of Solanum torvum and Solanum nigrum.

Dr. Jemima Owusuah Asante is a Professional Member of the Ghana Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (GhAFoST). When she is not glued to her computer or in the lab she enjoys reading, singing and developing new food products.
